Tell us a little bit about yourself and your art practice.
My full name is Mabel Poblet Pujol and I am a Cuban artist.
Ever since I was young, I felt like art has been the air that I breathe and a way to communicate with the universe in the form of ideas, sensations, and emotions. Art allows me to express myself without written or spoken words.
I find inspiration in everyday life, in situations of human existence, love and heartbreak. I’m inspired by the interactions I have with other people and the way in which they construct and deconstruct our identities and beliefs.
Generally, my work begins with my life experiences which reference individual and collective memory related to my family, friends and generation. Telling stories and expressing myself through installation and photography have created a common thread within my work. After graduating from the Academias de Bellas Artes and from the Universidad de las Artes en Cuba, I began creating works for gallery spaces and exhibitions in foundations and museums.
Your work as an installation and performance artist relies heavily on an in-person experience. How does an NFT fit into those concepts and what drew you to this medium?
NFTs allow me to expand my ideas that, physically, I’m not able to achieve due to their complexity. The virtual medium gives me infinite creative possibilities. We can obtain sensory experiences in the virtual world and NFTs allow me to expand communication through this other reality.
What was your inspiration for this drop?
This series reflects the path that has no limits, one of constant growth and, in a way, infinity through the human senses, like communication, vision and sound.
Describe in one sentence your work/style
My work plays with the ephemerality of experiences and the infiniteness of memory.

I admire kinetic arts, installations, and performance artists like Julio Le Parc, Olafur Eliason, Marina Abramovic and more.
