PolyOne will launch in spectacular fashion today, Monday 21 March 2022 as the ‘first arts and entertainment NFT platform with a Global Mission’.
The launch named the ‘Genesis Drop’, will take place live from ‘the cradle of civilisation’ in Erbil, Kurdistan, Iraq, as the works of renowned global artists are projected onto the ancient citadel.
These one-of-one NFTs will form a breath-taking outdoor ‘museum’ at the historical site and will be available via PolyOne’s marketplace.
The location of the Genesis Drop is no ordinary place, but a UNESCO World Heritage site within one of the oldest cities on the planet. Proceeds of PolyOne online NFT ticket sales will benefit refugees of the wars in Ukraine and Iraq.
This symbolic event, taking place on the day of ‘Nowruz’ – the Persian new year – will mark a new development in the journey of NFTs, which are transcending the boundaries of the digital world and taking on real-world significance.
PolyOne revealed plans to curate NFT collections for ‘hundreds’ of charities and give creators the option of making donations to their own, chosen cause.
The art-focused platform will put 100% of their net profits back into ‘Global One’ – a DeFi (de-centralized finance) organization whose mission is to finance projects that ‘either elevate the standard of living in our communities or address matters of global concern’.
